Here’s another sweet hardtail to add to your list of possible candidates. It’s made from super tough 4130 Chromoly, yet it weighs in at a respectable 6.4lbs meaning you could easily build this up for a variety of duties.

What a collaboration. Two of the biggest names around have got together to produce possibly the most wanted goggle of the year. Fox and Oakley have already worked together on Fox’s eyewear line of sunglasses but now their highly anticipated goggle range is here. Oakley engineering, technology and manufacture with Fox design…it is a marriage made in heaven.

I don’t know if the ‘F’ stands for flash, but DT have definitely gone to town on this new wheelset of theirs. Many of you though will no doubt be pleased to hear that beneath the poncy new exterior lies something far more conventional.

The Lock On grip from ODI is standard issue now on most bikes, the LOCDD is DMR’s take on this classic. It just has the one clamp on each grip, which uses two grub screws to tighten an alloy ring that is housed inside a steel sleeve.

Fox 36’s really set a new benchmark last year, and it looks like the latest incarnations are likely to raise the level yet again. The coil sprung Vanilla versions remain pretty much the same bar a few cosmetic changes, but on the air side there’s been a bit more work going on.

A good reliable set of wheels is an essential part of any bike, and these seem to fit the bill nicely. Both hubs have cartridge bearings that mean servicing is minimal, and the rear has a solid feeling ratchet and pawl mechanism.

For those of you out there who are going out to the Alps or Whistler this summer, or just for you stay–at–homes that want a little bit more protection, then the TLD SE motocross lid could be the one. With all the super cool styling that we have come to expect from TLD the SE is a shapely little number. We are talking full on MX protection here, which does mean that it is a slightly bigger and bulkier than Troy Lee’s classic D2 mountainbike lid.

First up it Is a hydraulic damping cartridge. The kit includes two cartridges both of which are identical. The damper works with two pistons, one for compression, the other for rebound. Each piston has a shimmed setting, which allows the owner to modify the hydraulic curve. You can adjust compression and rebound (external) and also the spring pre–load, by removing the upper caps. The travel is also adjustable without having to change the cartridge, from 170 to 200mm.
