day 10

Posted on April 25, 2008 @ 10:26 AM

Day 10 It’s my final day of work experience and I am absolutely knackered, I’ve ridden in almost every morning, ridden around the local forests every lunch and ridden home every day. I’ve had a lot of fun over these two weeks and learned a lot at the same time, I’ve seen how the mag is put together, how a good cuppa is made and how to annoy Billy (put sugar in his tea)!

I much prefer this to school I am learning lots more about the field of work I want to be in, and what’s more I’m having fun!!

I will keep you all up to date on my pump track on the forum, if anybody wants to come and ride it feal free my email is so it doesn’t mater what level of skill you are just as long as you bring a spade and do some digging everybody is welcome.

So I’m signing off, thanks to everybody for reading my daily mumble, thanks to my mum for giving me a lift when I was late and making the best cakes. Bye

day 8 and 9

Posted on April 24, 2008 @ 9:50 AM

DAY 8 and 9 Yesterday I couldn’t get to a computer because bill was using the laptop in the quiet room and I couldn’t remember my password to blog on the big computer. So here is my round up of the last two days, on Tuesday I did a lot of computer work, I did the fantasy football rankings (check dirt forum) and lots of price finding. Yesterday I did lots of mechanics and cleaning bikes. I fitted a new back brake to the Pashly.

With the help of Steve we set up the trek session 8 so that the suspension would work for me and then I washed mine and Billy’s bikes, I used miracle shine just to see what it would look like and it looked awesome.

This morning my alarm decided to have a day off so I woke up at about 8 o’clock very tired and very late. So I had to run around the house at supersonic speeds while cramming porridge, coffee and toothpaste into the same mouthful. So now I am KNACKERED!!!!!!

starter motors

Posted on April 22, 2008 @ 3:42 PM

I though that by splashing out on a newish van that I would be free from mechanical problems. Not so, last week the exhaust fell off and now the starter motor has packed in. I tell you what, trying to get the starter out was a blumin nightmare, everything is jammed in so tightly on these modern engines that you need the skills of a surgeon to remove anything.

So I've got a new one to go in, touch some wood, it'll all go back together tonight and I'll be mobile again.
